About me
Born in Hollywood, FL. Ira J. Bolden grew up in a single parent home. With an older brother and two sisters, he is the youngest of four children. Growing up in his neighborhood wasn’t an easy task. Bolden grew up with no male figure in his life. Most of his friends to date are doing life behind bars. Despite the odds, he has grown to be the positive man he is today.
Wanting a change in his life, at the age of 17, Bolden packed his bags and headed west to go and live with his uncle. Moving to Oklahoma City was an experience of a lifetime. He got the opportunity to play for Capitol Hill high school, ranked #7 in the southwest, and a chance at a championship ring. With many awards received, Bolden earned himself a scholarship to play basketball at 3rd ranked in the nation, Connors State College in Warner, Ok.
After playing on one season at Connors State, Bolden transferred to Redlands Community College. This is where the life of an author was born. His inspiration for writing came at the age of 21 years old. Not knowing his own talent, it took his college professor to reveal the hidden talent that has blossomed into a creative writer. Mostly known for his jokes, writing was a way of expressing himself emotionally. Daring himself to be different, he has an imagination that rises to the task.
Bond is the first novel published by the author. The story is about three sisters, Samantha, Briana, and Riana, who were separated by the untimely death of their mother. Like many of our experiences, we face hardships in life that force us to take different paths. For these three ladies, life truly gave them their share of up and downs. Before they found true happiness, love, and unity within one another, they had to fight through lies, deception, heartache, and pain. Despite their trials and tribulations, they found each other and formed an eternal bond of sisterhood, love, and life that can never be broken.
Bolden is also an award winning inventor. With three patents held, he has won awards from the likes of the History Channel, Patent office, and Invent Now. The single father now lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is currently working on his second book.
